The expanded vermiculite , The volume would be expanded 5-15 times when the raw vermiculite is heated , water losed.

It can be used for Thermal insulation, Noise Insulation, antifreeze facilities, fireproof, agriculture, plant cultivation, custruction, anti-radiation facilities, chemical coating, friction, etc.

With stable chemical properties, expanded vermiculite is characterized with cationic exchange and absorption and is not soluble in water. Its PH value is 7-8 . It is nontoxic, tasteless and with no side-effect. Also vermiculite is characterized with god electrical insulation.

The important feature of vermiculite in application is that it will expand when heated to over 300 C, and its volume will be 6-8 times bigger, Expanded vermiculite has many precious features, of which the most important are :

1, Low density(80-200 kg/m3), only 1/30-1/10 of ordinary concrete
2, High acoustic absorption coefficient will reach 0.7-0.8 at 100 HZ
3, High fire resistance with the highest melting temparature of 1100 C
4, Applied between -260 C-1100 C
5, Low thermal expansion coefficient of 1.4x10-5 / C
6, Nontoxic natural mineral
