The holes that are built into the sidewall of solid tires (Aperture holes) are very important to maximize each tire's quality and operating life.
The Aperture holes allow us to inject heat directly to the tire's center, this way they ensure that the rubber in the center is “cured” without over curing the tire's exterior.
The rubber needs to be “cured” at the right temperature to achieve optimal elasticity, too much or too little heat would otherwise damage the tire.
